Among the 321 stainless steels, Ti exists as a stabilizing element, but it is also a heat-strength steel, which is much better than 316L in high temperature. 321 stainless steel is used in organic acids and inorganic acids of different concentrations and temperatures, especially in oxidation. It has good abrasion resistance in the medium and is used to manufacture the lining and conveying pipeline of wear-resistant acid container and wear-resistant equipment.

The heat treatment process of 321 steel is usually solution annealing, the solution temperature is 950~1150 °C, the cooling method is suitable for water cooling, the thin section product can be air-cooled, the intermediate annealing temperature of cold processing is 850-970 °C, and the temperature is fast after cooling. The steel can also be stabilized at a heat treatment temperature of 850 to 930 °C.
